NOGA is the Russian word for foot if you are talking about the top or general area of your foot. stoop-nyah is the Russian word for the bottom of your foot. There is literally no direct translation for just the word "FOOT".
If you were to say your Noga (sounds like No'gha) is hurting, and you were pointing to your foot, you would get your point across.
If you said there is something in my Stoop-Nyah, then to whom ever you are speaking, would understand there is something in the bottom of your foot.
To say there is something in my Noga, would need for further explanation of how something is in your foot, but not on the bottom of it!
